3 Drawer Metal Mobile File Cabinet with Lock, Letter Size, Teal, Partially Assembled
$ 94.98
It’s not heavy duty, it can tip if not loaded properly and the drawers do not open all of the way, -but- it’s not several hundred dollars like a S****c***.Pros:- it’s inexpensive compared to commercial file cabinets- it’s mobile- it has the extra drawer at the top for office supplies- it has locking drawers- the teal color is nice (plus it comes in other colors as well)Cons:- the drawers do not fully extend- all drawers do not lock, only the top two- since all of the drawers can be pulled out at once, it can be easy to tip the unit over- the screws are not sized right for the rear casters- the included casters -do not lock as stated in the description in two places- so it rolls when you try to open or close the drawers without holding the cabinet itself.Again, it’s not an expensive cabinet so I can deal with the first two cons, but an inaccurate product description is a big problem as the locking casters would make the unit work good enough.I’ve included several pictures so you can see how it was shipped, what comes with it and how it looks when it’s finished. I guess I was lucky in that my was delivered undamaged as some have complained about. The packaging is not heavy duty but good enough unless the unit is dropped or mishandled.I was not missing any parts as some other complained about. I found the keys attached to the inside of the lock. The screws for the casters were in a separate small bag and the screws for the handles were sealed at the end of each handle.Assembly was easy enough but I did increase the size of the screws for the rear casters to #10 (#8 screws included). The front ones worked fine.Someone asked if there was a bottom to the cabinet. As you can see from my pictures, you see the bottom of the bottom drawer when you tip it up.Overall, this is a pretty good cabinet for the price and mostly works for what I need. If only the casters locked as was stated in the description, it would be as good as it gets for the price.If you want a heavy duty unit with fully extending drawers that won’t tip over (because only one drawer can be pulled out at a time), look for another unit and plan to pay more,
