I have been looking for awhile to find a larger sized print checkbook register to make keeping one easier to manage as my vision has gotten worse. I have tried other checkbook register books (and there are some very nice ones that are sold through Amazon), I was still having issues with their overall size and having enough space to write large enough to be able to later read what I had written because most of them keep the same overall width of the everyday checkbook register of 6 inches, and just add additional lines to the pages to allow additional entries. This particular ledger, because it has been flipped sideways, leaves you 10 inches to write instead of the 6, which is about a 3rd more. Missing from this ledger is only the spot to mark when deposits or payments have cleared a cycle, but the margins have enough space to add that to each page, without a problem.Columns include: a space for the check number, a date, a description of the transaction, to record an account number (or confirmation codes), payment amount, deposit amount and subtotal. Each page allows for 20 transactions total (unless you are planning on using two lines per transaction). There are approximately 100 pages per book (or 50 leaves). This ledger book is not so thick overall to make it difficult to write in, as some ledgers can be if they have more pages or are bound differently. The front of the book has a place to record your name and contact information in case you manage to misplace it. It has a nice cover and uses decent quality paper that should not bleed through if you are careful with your writing instrument. The back of the book has a few extra dotted pages to use as needed. This ledger also has a ribbon page marker, an elastic sort of closure, a pen holder, and finally a pocket on the inside of the back cover to store a few small sheets of paper. It has covered pretty much everything I can think of that anyone might want to have with an accounting ledger, except for maybe space allocated for small basic calculator. My thanks to the Amazon Vine program for sending me this accounting ledger book for free in exchange for my honest review of it. I do think this ledger is perfect for my needs, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a thin but larger page sized ledger to use, and this is especially so if you are having problems with your vision that can’t be improved upon.
